3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION

  Irritating to eyes and skin

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

INHALATION Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Perform artifical respiration if breathing has stopped. Keep affected warm and at rest. Get prompt medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT Remove affected person from source of contamination. Promptly wash with soap or mild detergent and water. Wash clothing if soaked as above. Get medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.
EYE CONTACT Flush eyes with large amounts of water until irritation subsides. If irritation persists get medical assistance.
INGESTION Wash out mouth with water do not induce vomiting. If patient is conscious give water to drink. If patient feels unwell seek medical attention.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA Water spray, powder, carbon dioxide, alcohol resistant foam.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS Can produce explosive mixtures with air above 96°C.
Fire Fighters to use self contained breathing apparatus.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

METHODS FOR CLEANING UP Wear respirator and/or liquid contact protection absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers and hold for waste disposal.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS Do not allow material to contaminate sewers.

7. HANDLING & STORAGE

HANDLING Ventilation - good general ventilation. LEV may be required. Keep away from sources of ignition. Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Avoid breathing vapours.
STORAGE Store in original plastic container. Do not store in lead, zinc or aluminium containers. Keep in cool dry ventilated storage and closed containers.

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS Toxic gases/fumes of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide. Oxides of nitrogen and phosphorus.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

TOXIC DOSE LD50 > 4000 mg/kg (ORAL RAT) compilation from indivual ingredients.
EFFECTS May cause irritation of the respiratory tract if inhaled. Irrating to eyes and skin. Ingestion can cause systemic effects eg. To the central nevous system, producing symptoms like dizziness and narcosis. Aspiration into the lungs during swallowing and vomiting may damage the lungs

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION

DEGRADABILITY Individual ingredient test results show that this product under aerobic conditions can be expected to be 75% biodegraded after 28 days.
Excel Dry is unlikely to persist in the aquatic environment.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

  Incinerate with provision for removal of effluent gasses by scrubber, observe all regulatory requirements. Recover contaminated water and dispose of in an approved and permitted biological treatment.
