2. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS

CHEMICAL CHARACTERISATION Blend of anionic surfactant and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent.
CAS NUMBER 26264-05-1 & 64741-65-7.

3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION

HEALTH HAZARD HARMFUL may cause lung damage if swallowed, irritating to skin and eyes.
FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARDS Moderate hazard. Vapour can form flammable mixtures upon moderate heating to temperatures at or above the flash point, product can accumulate static charges which can cause an incendiary electrical discharge.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

INHALATION Remove to fresh air. Administer artificial respiration if breathing is stopped. Keep at rest, call for prompt medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT Flush with water. Remove contaminated clothing, including shoes. Launder before re-use.
EYE CONTACT Irrigate immediately with plenty of clean water or eye wash solution for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention.
INGESTION Wash out mouth with water and send to hospital immediately if a significant amount has been swallowed. Do not induce vomiting.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA Foam, dry chemical, water spray, carbon dioxide, sand or earth.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS Wear self contained breathing apparatus. Do not use a water jet.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

METHODS FOR CLEANING UP Remove all sources of ignition. Absorb in sand or earth, then remove to a safe place for subsequent disposal. Small spillages may be washed away with water.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS Practically non toxic to aquatic life. Slowly biodegradable. Prevent entrance into water sources.

7. HANDLING & STORAGE

  Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, away from incompatible chemicals and a build up of static electricity. Exposure by inhalation or skin contact should be minimised by good industrial hygiene practice. Wear appropriate protective clothing. Safety shower and eye bath should be available for accidental exposure. Extinguish ignition sources - No smoking.

PERSONAL PROTECTION Wear goggles, gloves and impervious boots and polycotton overalls.
Occupational Exposure LIMITS 300ppm total hydrocarbon is recommended.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

ACUTE TOXICITY Liquid and vapour causes irritation to eyes, skin, respiratory and digestive tract. Toxic by ingestion, inhalation and absorption through skin after significant exposure.
DERMAL COMPATIBILITY Has a degreasing action on the skin and may produce a dry, scaly and fissured dermatitis.
INGESTION Small amounts aspirated into respiratory system during ingestion or from vomiting may cause Bronchopneumonia or Pulmonary Oedema. Minimal toxicity.

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION

ECOTOXICITY Slightly toxic to aquatic organisms and moderately toxic to mammalian wildlife.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

ADVICE ON DISPOSAL Dispose of in accordance with special waste regulation (Control Pollution Act Regulations 1980). It is possible to destroy by burning in a suitable incinerator for the disposal of noxious wastes.
